Well, it's almost the weekend and I'm thinking about my plans for Saturday.  Top of the list: Attend a baby shower where twins are expected!  They're going to be two (lovely I'm sure) girls, but of course there's so much to think about with babies around.

At the top of every parent's list is keeping children safe and protected.  That's why Standards on Children's Equipment is so important.  Government agencies such as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the Canadian Institute of Child Health provide guidelines for good practices for industries providing "equipment" used by children.  And regulations like 2009/48/ec on Toy Safety mandate requirements for such products. Organizations like ASTM and CEN (EN) provide the technical requirements by issuing standards for industry implementation in order to meet public safety needs.
