The ASTM standards on metals go back to the earliest specifications on steel back in 1901.  Now there are thousands of standards developed by the organization to help people produce and procure metals that meet their needs as well as protecting public safety in design and production.  They are used the world over.

The ASTM standards on copper can all be found in the ASTM Annual Volume 02.01, which is published yearly and has all copper specifications as of May of each year.  If you'd like to purchase the latest volume 02.01 you can get it from Document Center Inc.

The BS EN standards on the other hand are the official English language Edition of the EN European Standards.  They have been developed specifically for use in the European Union.  Some confusion can arise regarding these standards, since there are many releases for any given document.  This is explained by the administrative process followed in the EU.  Standards are written and adopted at the regional level, but published by each country involved as they are put into practice in each jurisdiction.  So you will see lots of EN adoptions as any particular standard is promulgated throughout the Euro Zone.

These standards are all sold under license agreement here at Document Center Inc.  We play an active role in promoting the legal use of standards around the world.
